The World's Most Underrated Baby Milestone

Over the past couple of days it's become apparent that NJ understands arms and sleeves. Dressing her is no longer akin to putting a full-body leotard on a cat.

  1. That's very true; good observation. I'm glad you're paying attention.

  2. well done, norah! i made up a song to teach livy about arms and sleeves. it's called "the arm-sleeve dance," and it entertains her enough so that i can get her dressed. i also scream "noodle!" at her when i put shirts over her head. it's bound to make chicken soup very confusing in the future.

  3. When I'm putting a shirt on her, I show NJ the rolled up shirt and the open neck hole and say "Look what's coming!" She starts blinking and squinting and cringing a little, basically bracing herself. Then I pop that thing over her head and we have a small clapping celebration that it all went smoothly.

(Yes, had a couple of bad pull-over experiences in the past.)
